Mary and I have been close friends since I moved to Boulder in the summer of 2013. She hired me for my first job in Colorado at the Alfalfa’s Coffee and Juice Bar and we have been working together and supporting each other’s dreams ever since.

So when she came to me looking for dynamic portraits for her new business I was honored. This photoshoot was so fun, Mary was a trooper. These photos were taken on a chilly December afternoon. Lots of laughing and racing back to our cars to warm up in between shoots.

She killed it, as you can see. My personal goal was to capture an array of emotions shrouded in the grace and beauty that is Mary. You can see her strength staring back at you, saying I’m here right now with you. Presence and a warm embrace for the future.

Mary is doing amazing work as the Founder and CEO of Five Elements LLC along with her work as the empathic and energetic podcast co-host of The Third Place.
