An exploration of photographing food in many of its forms and stages.

I didn’t realize that this would be a defining theme of the photos that I took that summer, but after stepping back and complying the work it became pretty evident that I’m obsessed with food in multiple ways. From soil, water, and land, to the kitchen - where we work our alchemy to turn raw ingredients into meals to be paired with good conversation, stories, and laughter.

I have a great passion for gathering people over home-cooked meals, definitely, my love language and I’m passionate about sharing it. Since the summer of 2020 was not spent with friends and family beneath the trees eating together. I felt inclined to photography the meals I was making for my husband and son as a way to still share with you all.

It brought me great joy during a period that was very challenging at times. Also check out those peas, pretty proud of those peas.
